Acclimatised Meaning
Within 2h time zone of point of departure
Reference Time Meaning
Local time where a crew is acclimatised
Disruptive Scheudle
- Based on home base local time,
- Early Start: Duty start between 0500/0559
- Late Finish: Duty fisinish between 2300-0159
Local Night Meaning
Local time between 2200-0800
Local Day Meaning
24h time starting from 0000 local time
Reserve
- Crew is available to RECEIVE AN ASSIGNMENT for any duty in that period,
- Duty must be notified at least 10h in advance,
- Maximum period 16h,
- Not more than 6 consecutive reserves,
- Doesn’t count as duty
Rotation Meaning
- At least one flight duty and,
- Rest period
WOCL
- Window of Circadian Low,
- Between 0200-0559 local acclimatised time
Rest Period Extension After Disruptive Scheudle
- After 4 consecutive early start, late finish or combination,
- 60h rest is required
Reporting Time
- STD - 45 minutes,
- Normally at the briefing rooms,
- Base information may require different
Company FDP Extensions
- Maximum twice in any 7 consecutive days,
- Preflight and post flight rest increased by 2h or,
- Post flight rest increased 4h,
- Maximum 2 sectors when WOCL encroached by > 2h
Use of Commanders Discretion
- Shall be avoided at home bases,
- Used for unforseen circumstances AFTER reporting,
- It’s non punitive process,
- Also used for reducing duty or extending rest times
Rules of Commanders Discretion
- CPT shall consult all crew members,
- Maximum extension 2h,
- Rest period decreased to minimum of 10h,
- If maximum duty time exceeds after T/O, continue,
- Before T/O confirm latest airborne time with OCC when extension > 01:30,
- CPT shall submit Commander’s Discretion Report,
Delay Reporting Timing
- Phone call maximum 90 minimum 60 minutes before reporting,
- Phone call might be 90 minutes before or after rest period,
- Electronic notification can be sent any time during rest period,
Delay Reporting Rules
- Maximum 2 delay messages,
- First notification: > 4h delay means MAX FDP calculated with more limiting time,
- First notification: FDP starts at delayed reporting time,
- Second notification: FDP starts 1h after from second or first one WEE,
- Delay of 10h or more counts as a rest period regardless of call count.
Duty Time Limits
- 60h in 7 consecutive days,
- 110h in 14 consecutive days,
- 190h in 28 consecutive days.
- 2000h in one calendar year*
Flight Time Limits
- 100h in 28 consecutive days,
- 900h in any calendar year,
- 1000h in 12 consecutive calendar months.
Positioning Reporting and End Times
Reporting:
- Company Flight: STD -20 minutes,
- Other Flight: STD - 1h,
- Car/Taxi: Rostered time
End:
- Flights: STA + 20 minutes,
- Car/Taxi: Rostered or actual if later
Split Duty General
- Break on the ground minimum 3h,
- Break excludes travelling and post/preflight duties,
- FDP increased 50% of the break,
- Suitable accommodation if break 6h or more or in WOCL
Split Duty Post/Preflight and Travelling Times
- Break starts 30 minutes after ON BLOCK or as notified by the CPT,
- Minimum travel time to hotel 10, from hotel 15 minutes,
- If travelling times are greater, they will be used for DP/FDP
Airport Standby
- Counts as full duty time if no FDP assigned,
- FDP starts Standby Start Time - excess of 4h waited standby time,
- Maximum combined standby and FDP 16h
Home Standby
- Counts 25% as duty time if no FDP assigned,
- Report to reporting point within 1h,
- Maximum duration 16h,
- Ceases at reporting time when FDP assigned,
- If ceases within the first 6h Max FDP counts from reporting,
- If ceases after 6h Max FDP reduced excess of 6h waited standby time,
- Above 6h increases to 8h in case of a Split Duty,
Home Standby Rest and Awake Times
- Maximum awake time 18h,
- If previous duty delayed, new STBY time starts after minimum rest,
- Rest ends at the actual reporting time and may include STBY period
Company Call Before Duty
- Not withing 8h sleep period,
- May be within 90 minutes of Reporting Time,
- We are not obliged to answer or available during rest period,
- If not reachable they send electronic notification
Layover Rest and Transportation
If travel is more than 30 minutes, rest increases twice the amount above 30 minutes
Late Finish to Early Start
Rest must include 1 LOCAL night
Meal Breaks
- Starts 03:45 after FDP start,
- Duration 20 minutes normally but exceptionally not less than 10 minutes
Meal Opportunity Times
- Breakfast: 0700-1000,
- Lunch: 1200-1500,
- Dinner: 1800-2100
Training Assigments Awake Time
Maximum 18h
