A
- Production of antibodies (Autoantibody) which attacks
individual’s own tissue - Leads to inflammation and necrosis of tissue

A
basic developmental failure somewhere in the system

A
loss of immune response due to specific causes and can occur at anytime during the life span

HIV transmission
A
must find entry into circulating blood of the body (via body fluids - not salivas)

HIV not transmitted through:
A
- casual contact – touching, kissing
- sneezing or coughing (not airborne)
- fomites – toilet seats, eating utensils
- insect bites
