Absolute Monarchy
Rule by one man who usually comes to power by force
Dictatorship
Ruler that is born into office, limited in power
Constitutional Monarchy
A government that is run by representatives of the people. No particular group have all the power. Ruler is called a president. The U.S. has a republican government under the Constitution.
Republic
Was built to reach the heavens and to keep people from being scattered abroad upon the faces of the whole earth. Was the beginning of the different languages of mankind.
Tower of Babel
A large body of people who think of themselves as one and are united under one ruler and subject to the same general laws.

The human development of new knowledge and greater skills throughout history.
