Wieners model of attribution?
Consists of internal, external, stable and and unstable.
Ability. Task difficulty
Effort. Luck
Self serving bias?
A persons tendency to attribute their failure to external reasons. E.g. I lost the badminton match because the floor was slippy
What is controllability?
Whether attributions are under control of the performer or under the control of others, or whether they are uncontrollable (i.e. nothing can be bone by anyone, e.g. luck, weather).
What is learned helplessness?
This refers to the belief that failure is inevitable and a feeling of hopelessness when faced with a particular situation
What is mastery orientation?
It’s the view that an individual will be motivated by becoming an expert in skill development or sports performance
Attribution retraining?
It can optimise spores performance, seeking often to change learned helplessness into mastery orientation
