4.6 Isoceles and Right Triangles Flashcards
Base Angles
The two angles that have the base as part of one side of the angle
Base Angles Theorem
If two sides of a triangle are congruent, then the angles opposite them (in the same triangle) are congruent
Base Angles Converse Theorem
If two angles of a triangle are congruent, then the sides opposite them (in the same triangle) are congruent
Corollary to Base Angles Theorem
If a triangle is equilateral, then it is also equiangular
Corollary to Base Angles Converse Theorem
If a triangle is equiangular, then it is also equilateral
Hypotenuse-Leg (HL) Congruence Theorem
If the hypotenuse and a leg of a right triangle are congruent to the hypotenuse and leg of a second right triangle, then the two triangles are congruent
