(1st Marquess of the Valley of Oaxaca) was Spanish conquistador who led an expedition that caused the fall of the Aztec Empire and brought large portions of what is now mainland Mexico under the rule of the King of Castile in the early 16th century.
Cortes
A labor system instituted by the Spanish crown in the American colonies. In this system, a Spanish encomendero was granted a number of native laborers who would pay tributes to him in exchange for his protection. It’s an example of a stratified social system, like the Feudal (caste) system in Europe.

In which arms, textiles, and wine were shipped from Europe to Africa, slaves from Africa to the Americas, and sugar and coffee from the Americas to Europe.

The state policy, practice, or advocacy of extending power and dominion.
Especially by direct territorial acquisition or by gaining political and economic control of other territories and peoples.

Imperialism
As Europeans came to America, they intermarried. This may seem obvious today, but back then nations had more individualistic cultures. It was a rather large step for an Irish person to marry an Italian person. Multi-culturalism grew and America became in a sense, a “melting pot.”
