attend a 16 hour course

Notification to COP to determine next action
What are the supervisor’s responsibilities after being notified of an officer fully failing their primary weapons qualification?
Ensure employee is not in duty where being armed is needed, ensure no police related EJs are taken until they pass firearms
What shall an officer do they if they have a legitimate reason they did not qualify during their birth month?
Notify division commander
Who shall commanders notify if one of their employees has a legitimate reason not to qualify?
Training division
Who shall commanders or above notify if they have a legitimate reason not to qualify?
Their immediate supervisors
What are the rules/time frame for qualifying with firearms after returning from legitimate excuse?
ASAP but MUST be within 30 days. If they work 1 day of normal duty in that 30 days then they must qualify

Primary is temporarily inoperable and being repaired, primary has been stolen, primary taken as an investigation

Primary weapon is taken as part of a investigation
How long shall a loaner weapon be loaned for without an additional letter?

What is the request/notification process for officers receiving a loaner weapon?
Submit request through officers’ commander to commander of training division

proficiency testing every 2 years, testing consistent with normal requirements for retired testing, testing provided at no cost, certification provided for completion
