injuries of the elbow
A
elbow dislocation
radial head subluxation
- arm is jerked upwards with forearm pronated
- annular ligament can tear loose from attachment on radial neck, radius dislocates
- annular ligament can become entrapped between radius + humerus
- supination + elbow flexion returns radius to normal position

cubital fossa
A
- triangular-shaped region
- bounded by epicondyles of humerus, brachioradialis, and pronator teres
- consist of radial nerve, median nerve, bicipital tendon, brachial artery, and is covered by bicipital aponeurosis
