Information that you have created yourself.
WHAT ARE SECONDARY SOURCES?
Information created by someone else. Data off of the internet.
WHAT DO SEARCH ENGINES DO?
EG - Bing, Google, Yahoo
They compare the words entered by the user in a database of web pages and shows the result that is the closest match to their original keywords.
HOW TO USE SEARCH ENGINES EFFECTIVELY?
- Use keywords
- Use search types - specify the type of info you are searching for provided by search engines.
- Use search tools - filter results the search engine returns
- Use suggested sites and auto fill - search engines give results using auto fill while typing keywords
- Use search syntax - rules dictating how words and phrases are used in language

* Reliability - seeing it matches with other sources

- Permission to use - ensure you have permission to use
- Acknowledgment of source - some information will require you to state the owner/source of it if you choose to use it.
