Q

What parts of the cells does the 4 stains stain?

A

1) Hematoxylin- stains the nuclei of plant and animal cells purple, blue or ibrown
2) Methylene blue- Stains the nuclei of animal cells blue
3) Acetocarmine- Stains the chromosomes in dividing nuclei in both plant and animal cells
4) Iodine- Stains starch-containing material in plant cells blue-black
