Small compact land , low level of labour, low quality with low costs of selling price but greater profit, low quality of animal welfare and is less ethical
Describe free range farming
More land at use, high level of labour , high selling price due to high quality, high quality of life
Describe stereotypy behaviour
Repetitive in a distressed enclosure
Pacing up and down
Biting on objects
Excess grooming
Describe misdirected behaviour
Normal behaviour is directed inappropriately on itself or it’s surroundings which has a Detrimental effect on animal
Examples of misdirected behaviour
Over plucking of birds which is now unable to fly.
Bears gnawing in solid objects which can lead to dental problems and bleeding.
Describe the failure in sexual behaviour
Stops mating or can not physically being able to mate
Describe an animals failure in parental behaviour
Fail in parental responsibilities:
Abounding young
Aggressive to young
Stealing young for other females
Describe altered low levels of activity
Apathy
A period when there is little to no activity
Altered high levels of activity
Hysteria
An animal that moves about a lot more or seems to be easily alarmed
