Timing of congenital cataracts surgery?
- Unilateral: 1-4 weeks of life
- Bilateral: first 3 months of life
What age to get an intraocular lense after cataract surgery?
After age 2
DDx of blocked tear duct?
Congenital glaucoma
Corneal irritation from FB or lashes
How to manage paediatric ptosis?
- monitor visual acuity
- refraction
- surgery
When to do surgery in ptosis?
- If visual function impaired: early
- cosmetic: age 4-5
Retinal haemorrhages in a baby, need to think of?
