A
  • Identify signs and symptoms. CT/MRI - ischemic or hemorrhagic stroke?
  • ABC, intubate, O2, fingertip glucose, ECG, vital signs, IV access, lab. study
  • Neurological screening
  • Order CT/MRI
  • Monitor BP

A

Atherothrombic TIA: ASPIRIN

Cardioembolic TIA: WARFARIN (if not good –> ASPIRIN)

Ischemic stroke

A

Acute: Fibrinolytic agent (ALTEPLASE), if not suitable, ASPIRIN/thrombectomy-within 6-8hrs

Post-ischemic therapy: CLOPIDOGREL + ATROVASTATIN
