  1. Thicken liquids w/rice cereal
  2. Thin jar foods, cereals, purees with: water, juice, formula, broth (continues to resemble thick pulpy orange juice)
  3. Easier transition for caregivers; yet messier
  4. Increased independence for infant at this age
