- Ford pardons Nixon for Watergate, many believe that they made a deal so Ford could become president
Carter Administration
- Gets rid of Washington insiders, but just surrounds himself with incompetent officials
- Advocates for nuclear energy to solve gas shortage
Iranian Hostage Crisis
- Iranian college students take over US embassy and hold Americans hostage for 2 years
- Demand Shah of Iran be returned from the US- he caused a lot of poverty in Iran
- Negotiations and rescue missions fail, but hostages are released when Reagan is elected.
