The ultima has the syllabic force.
When the stem has an iota, it is dropped. (αίρω - αρῶ)
When the present has two lambdas, one is dropped. (αποστέλλω - αποστελῶ)

The stem is expected to change somehow and/or drop the theta in aorist passive form.
