What is the defintion of health?
A state of complete physical, mental and social well being.
What is the definition of oral health?
A completely healthy dentition (32 sound, straight teeth with no periodontal disease or soft tissue lesions associated) resulting in a state of physical, mental and social well being.

When people have enough knowledge, understanding, skills and confidence to use health information and navigate health and social care systems.
What are the effects of low health literacy?
Lack of acccess and engagement with health services
Self management of conditions
Difficulty understanding health information sources
What is health inequality?
The difference in health status or the distribution of health determinants between different population groups.
What is health inequity?
The presence of avoidable, unfair differences among different groups of people.
