What is meant by health and safety legislation ?
Provides details of protocols and must be followed.
Examples :
- adequate lighting and ventilation.
- making sure the workplace is safe.
- regular eye tests.
- ensure risk assessments are carried out.
What is meant by equal opportunities ?
The right in which every one has.
Example :
- equal pay, sex discrimination, disability discrimination, age equality, religion and sexual orientation.
- ensure that these don’t happen.
What is meant by contractual obligation ?
Contract of employment.
Once contract is signed it’s binding do both the employee and employer.
Both parties must comply with its terms.
What is meant by minimum standards of professional behaviour ?
Having the right punctuality at work.
Right body language.
Appearance and dress code.
Use of appropriate language.
