These laws exempt emergency personnel provided the act is in connection with the course and scope of their duties.

This revision to the Cell Phone Policy permits the use of electronic devices (hands-free) for phone calls or radio use only. Cell phone usage shall be restricted to official Department business only and is permitted when absolutely necessary.
