The M142 Launcher utilizes the M1140 variant of the U.S. Army’s Family of Medium
Tactical Vehicles (FMTV), is a modified 5-ton, 6x6, long wheel base truck chassis and cab.
The FMTV crew cab has seating for the three-man crew and provides protection from toxic
gases, tube cover impact, and debris penetration during firing activities.
