Stimulus vs Response Class
Similar: Each class member shares similarities Differ: response class is group of responses that serve same function/have same effect on environment; stim class is group of stimuli that share similar physical features and evoke same response
Capacity
Determined by court; must be 18 or older and able to speak for themselves, or have someone else speak for them
Information
Ensuring that purposes, risks, benefits, and limits to confidentiality have been explained to participant
Voluntariness
Participant is involved at their own will and can withdraw at any point
Environment
Everything involved in a bx aside from moving parts of organism
Behavior
Activity of living organisms resulting in measurable change in environment
Response
Specific instance of bx in relation to a particular stimulus
Response class example
pushing door, pulling door, pushing button to open door
Stim class example
Different types of dogs evoking “dog”
Operational Defintion
Definition of a bx that objectively describes topography of bx, is observable, and measurable. Includes examples and non examples
