Initiating
Establish the total scope and order of the project
Planning
Carry out and complete the work as defined in the project management plan
Executing
Track, review, and regulate the execution of the project
Monitoring
Comparing actual performance with planned performance, analyzing variances, assessing trends to effect process improvements, evaluating possible alternatives, and recommending appropriate corrective action as needed
Controlling
Finalize the project - to bring it to a conclusion and to meet contractual obligations
Closing
Defines the boundaries of the project and what is outside those boundaries
Scope
Ability of a process or product to satisfy both stated and implied needs, with those needs being defined by the stakeholders
Quality
A model used in conjunction with manual methods or project management software to perform schedule network analysis to generate the project schedule for use in managing the execution of a project
Schedule
The approved estimate for the project any work breakdown structure component or any schedule activity
Budget
Knowledge, skills, values, and attitudes of those working on the project
Resources
Threat of a damage, liability, loss, or other negative occurrence that is caused by external or internal vulnerabilities, and that may be minimized or neutralized through preemptive action
Risk
Internal and external environmental factors that surround or influence a project’s success
