What are some side effects of 1st gen anti histamines?
AntiMusc - constipation, urine retention, blurry vision
AntiAdrenergic (alpha) - dizziness, postural hypotension
Antiserotinergic - appetite stimulation, weight gain
What is pathognumonic for Wagner’s?
cANCA; nasal ulceration w/ renal involvement
How can you get angioedema?
hereditary loss of C1 esterase inhibitor; Rx induced (ACEi): all lead to bradykinin increases
What are the symptoms of angioedema?
typically dry cough/swelling of lips/face/tongue; Can affect GI (colicky pain w/ nausea and diarrhea) & respiratory tree (difficulty breathing)
How does S. pneumo become pathogenic?
Tranformation allowing capsule formation
What are the symptoms of Henloch-Schloen?
Purpuric rash (small vessel vasculitis)

tryptase from MC’s, it’s often used to determine if an anaphylactic reaction has occurred
What happens with ankylosing spondylitis patient following GU infection?
uveitis/reactive arthritis/conjunctivitis; can also have palm/sole rash and sacroillitis
