a. Ready Reserve
i. Consists of units and individuals subject to be ordered to active duty to augment the Active Forces in time of war or national emergency
b. Standby Reserve
i. Personnel who have completed all obligated or required service or have been removed from the Ready Reserve due to circumstances of civilian employment, ineligibility for mobilization, temporary hardship, or disability.
c. Retired Reserve
i. Personnel who receive retired pay or personnel placed in a retired status based on completion of 20 or more qualifying years of individual or combined Reserve and Active component service but have not reached age sixty.
