- State the purpose of performance feedback.
a. FORMAL WRITTEN COMMUNICATION
b. To direct or establish performance related communication
- Face-to-face feedback
- Learn strengths and weaknesses
- Clarify any confusion and set expectations
a. All AF members (O-6 and below) are required to receive performance feedback
- State when performance feedback sessions are held for each military rank.
a. Initial Feedback (within 60 days) – O-6 and below
b. Midterm Feedback CHIEF AND O-6 DO NOT RECEIVE FEEDBACK - (midway between initial feedback and EPR/OPR) – E-1 to E-8 and O1 to O-5
c. Follow-Up Feedback (in conjunction with EPR/OPR) – O-6 and below
d. Ratee Requested Feedback (>60 days from initial feedback and <30 days from request)
e. Rater Directed Feedback (good or bad feedback, anytime deemed appropriate)
f. KNOW DIFFERENCE BETWEEN INITIAL AND FOLLOW-UP
