Firmware and Settings Security Practices
-Update the firmware.
-Change default admin password.
-Change default service set identifier (SSID) – the name of the wireless network that is broadcast.
-Disable SSID.
-Disable unused and unnecessary services and ports.
-Enable port forwarding, if necessary.
-Configure firewall settings.
What is MAC filtering?
Restricts to only allowed MAC addresses. Only allowed machines can use resources like printers, file servers, wireless routers/access points.

*Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP)-
The original Wi-Fi security standard
*Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA)-
A security standard that provides better encryption and authentication than WEP
*Wi-Fi Protected Access 2 (WPA2)-
A security protocol that uses strong encryption and authentication to protect wireless networks
*Wi-Fi Protected Access 3 (WPA3)-
The latest and most secure type of wireless encryption. WPA3 uses Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) to encrypt data and includes features to protect against brute-force attacks
