Why Did Clio Choose the Cloud? Flashcards
- Affordable
Did you know that on-premise, server based software options can cost tens of thousands of dollars for a law firm to implement? This makes the cost of an on-premise solution out of reach for many small and medium firms from the get go.
According to the American Bar Association, there are approximately 1.35 million lawyers in the U.S. 80% of lawyers in the U.S. are in private practice and of those, 50% are solo practitioners. That’s a lot of lawyers who could encounter financial difficulty if they were to attempt to implement an on-premise solution
- Easy to implement
IT support isn’t required to set up any Clio products. Account creation is fast and can be done by the firm on their own without specialized assistance. Clio also doesn’t require special or specific hardware. in most cases, law firms will be able to use their existing technology (desktops, laptops, etc) and firm members can use their preferred operating system and browsers. Clio also supports mobile devices, allowing lawyers to use Clio while on the go
