who was Huey Long?
ex govener of Louisiana who had taxed big business to pay for public works projects
what did huey long want?
“share wealth scheme” which reduced personal fortunes to $3mill, income max of $1mill per year, pensions to over 60s and electrical items
what did dr francis townsend want?
$200 pensions per month as long as money as long as money had to be spent to stimulate the economy
what did father coughlin do?
used radio broadcast to attack FDR setting up his National Union for social justice
