Q

Router?

A

A networking device that forwards the data package between computer networks.

It works with the IP address of a computer.

Routers are used to navigate the Internet, they know where to send the packages on the Internet.

Q

Switch?

A

A network device that receives the package and knows where to deliver it, (Server or computer).

Work with the MAC address of the network interface.

Q

What’s Cloud Computing?

A

+ On-Demand Delivery.
+ Pay-As-You-Go Price (Pagas por lo que usas, no más)
+ Provisioning exactly the right size and type of computing resources that it needs.
+ Access to all resources almost instantly.
+ Simple Access to Servers, Storage, Databases, and Application Services.
+ The provider of the Cloud maintains the infrastructure (Networks, and Connected Hardware) to keep the services up.

Q

Private Cloud

A
  1. Single Organization.
  2. Not exposed.
  3. Complete Control
  4. Security for sensitive applications.

Q

Public Cloud

A

+ Provided by Thrid Party.

+ On-Demand Delivery
+ Pay-as-you-go Price
+ Get exactly what you need.
+ Access to resources almost instantly.

Q

Hybrid Cloud?

A

+ Keeps some servers on-premise and extends some capabilities to the cloud.
+ Has control over sensitive assests into the private infrastructure.
+ Reduce costs translating some capabilities to the public cloud.

Q

The 5 Characteristic of Cloud Computing?

A

+ On-Demand self-service. Pay just as many resources as you need them.
+ Broad Network Access. The resources are available on network and can be accessed through different platforms.
+ Multitenancy and Resource Pooling. Multiple users sharing the same infrastructure with security and privacy, so Multiple users are serviced but the same physical resource.
+ Measure services. The user pays exactly for what he uses.

Q

Six advanteges of Cloud Computing?

A
  1. Trade Capital Expense (CAPEX) for Operational Expense (OPEX). Don’t own hardware and reduces the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and OPEX.
  2. Benefits for massive economies of scale.
  3. Stop Guessing Capacity. Don’t need to worry about the capacity to grow up.
  4. Increase speed and agility.
  5. Stop expending money on running a data center.
  6. Go Global in minutes.

Q

What problems solves the Cloud?

A

+ Flexibility, change the resources as you need.
+ Cost-Effectiveness.
+ Scalability. Increase or decrease nodes as you need.
+ Elasticity. Ability to scale as you need.
+ Hig-Availability and Fault Tolerance.
+ Agility. Speed on deploy, testing, and launching software applications.

Q

Type of Cloud Computing?

A
  1. On-Premise. you Manage All the infrastructure, from Hardware to Software/Application. There is no 3rd Party providers.
  2. IaaS: Infrastructure as a Service. You Manage the OS and upper level, the infrastructure (Platform), i.e: a company where you can host a virtual machine and manage it.
  3. PaaS: Platform as a Service. You only manage the application over a platform, publishing a Website or Webservices, over a specific platform.
  4. SaaS. You only manage the complete product but not the lower layers that make the software runs. Like Gmail, Zoom, etc…

Q

Pricing of Cloud Computing?

A

+ Computing. Pay by computing time
+ Storage. Pay for the amount of data storage in the cloud.
+ Data. Pay for the data transferred OUT of the Cloud (Transfer IN is FREE).

16
Q

AWS Region?

A

+ Cluster of data centers into a geographical zone.
+ Most of AWS Services are region-scoped.

17
Q

Criterians to Choose a AWS Region.

A

+ Compliance with data and legal laws into a region.
+ Proximity to customer, to reduce the latency.
+ Available Service into a regions. Not all regions has available all the services.
+ Pricing. According to the region, the price change.

18
Q

Availibility of AWS Per Region?

A

+ From 2 (min) to 6(max) data center on a region.
+ Average 3 data centers.
+ Each of data centers are redundant on Network, Power Supply and connectivity.

(page 34)

19
Q

AWS Point of Precense?

A

+ Means Edge Location.
+ The goal is to deliver to the end user the content with the lower latency possible.

(page 35)

20
Q

AWS Global Services (4 services)?

A
  1. Identity Access Management (IAM)
  2. Route 53 (DNS Server)
  3. Cloud Front (Content delivery Network)
  4. WAF (Web Application Firewall)

The remainder of services are management as regional services.

(Page 36)

21
Q

Availability Zone?

A

Global infrastructure Identity with more than one discrete redundant data center on Power Supply, Network, and Connectivity.

They are used to deploy infrastructure.

(Page 36)

22
Q

Shared Responsibility of AWS Clod Services?

A

AWS: All the infrastructure and security of the Cloud
YOU: Responsibility for the use of the cloud and the data handled in the cloud.
