Cytotoxic edema is

A

a tissue issue
caused by lesions or trauma
tissue hypoxia happens
Na/K atpase pump fails and water goes into the cells and that is bad

Interstitial edema is

A

when CSF can’t leave the ventricles so fluid is stuck inside
there’s pressure so the fluid leaks into extracellular space instead
cause is hydrocephalus
