- Time the possession is to be taken
- Crossings/points that may be used for trains outside of the possession
- Arrangements for each level crossing within the possession
- Position that points within the possession must be placed in
- Exact location of detonator protection and whether sub-standard
Prior to granting a T3 possession you must ensure the line is clear of trains, unless? (T3 Reg 2.2 and 2.3)
- Taking possession around one or more engineering trains
- Possession has been taken for the purpose of removing derailed vehicles or any other obstruction
What is the standard distance for detonator protection of a T3 possession?

- 400m (440yds) beyond the protecting signals / points
- 400m (440yds) on approach to the exit signals / points
- As close to the standard distance as possible

- At a crossover, siding or loop when it joins the line under possession
- On a single line where the PICOP has the token as protection
You must make sure that a AHBC is operated locally during the whole time of a possession, unless? (TS9 Reg 3.7)
Unless any of the following apply:
- Crossing controls will not be affected by the work that is taking place
- The only movements over the crossing will be those of engineering trains passing normally in a direction for which there are controls
- It is shown in the published arrangements or has been agreed by Control that the crossing only needs to be under local control while it is affected by the work
When would a CCTV crossing in a possession need to be taken under local control? When would this not apply? (TS9 Reg 6.9)
Any of the following apply:
- Work will be carried out that might cause track circuits to be activated within the protecting signal or block marker
- An engineering train or OTP is to work within the protecting signal or within 200m of the crossing
- A wrong direction movement will be made over the crossing
It would not apply if shown in the published arrangements or Control has agreed that local control is only required when the crossing is affected by the work or movements over it
