What are the functions of the Vertebral Column?
Transmits weight of trunk to lower limbs
Surrounds and protects spinal cord

What are the Two posteriorly concave curvatures?
Cervical and Lumbar
What are the Two posteriorly convex curvatures?
Thoracic and sacral
What are the three Abnormal Curvatures of the spine?
Kyphosis

What is the Nucleus pulposus part of the Intervertebral dics?
Inner gelatinous nucleus that gives the disc its elasticity and compressibility
What is the Anulus fibrosus part of the Intervertebral dics?
Outer collar composed of collagen and fibrocartilage
What is the Body or centrum of a vertebrae?
Anterior weight-bearing region
What is the Vertebral arch of a vertebrae?
Composed of pedicles and laminae that, along with centrum, enclose vertebral foramen
What is the Vertebral foramina of a vertebrae?
Together make up vertebral canal for spinal cord

of a vertebrae?
Lateral openings between adjacent vertebrae for spinal nerves
