Transactional: not focused on long term success + want to maintain status quo, use incentives and discipline to transact compliance, manage daily operations
Transformational: focused on long term success, elevate performance of followers, create a shared vision

Organizational supports: human/financial resources, information/decision support, valuing professional nursing
