Funnel of conversion

Web analytics
The measurement and analysis of data to inform an understanding of user behaviour across web pages
eg:
how many users visit
how long they stay
how many pages they visit
which pages they visit
whether they arrive by following a link or not
Web “hits”
Queries made on the server
eg: clicking a link on a page, downloading a pdf from the page
Web “session”
Refers to a period of time during which a user interacts with the website. It starts when a user first visits the site and ends when they leave or remain inactive for a certain duration
Conversions
A completed activity, online or offline, that is important to the success of your business. Two types - macro conversion or micro conversion
Macro conversion
Typically a completed purchase transaction
Micro conversion
A completed activity, such as an email signup that indicates that the user is moving towards a macro conversion
Stickiness / Duration of visit
Average length of stay on a site - longer times = greater chance of conversion
Function of e-commerce reports
Allow you to analyze purchase activity on your
site or app. You can see product and transaction information, average order value, ecommerce conversion rate, time to purchase, and other data
