Q

How is weather data Gathering collected

A

Weather satellites orbit the Earth scanning atmosphere gathering data and forming images.

The data gathered is measured and Read by met eireann, to create weather maps and predict the weather.
It is then broadcast on TV radio and published in newspapers and online.

16
Q

Wind direction and speed. How is it measured and was it measured in

A

A wind Vane is used to indicate the direction of wind.

The speed or strength of wind is measured using an anemometer in units of kilometers per hour/km/hr

17
Q

What is humidity

A

The term humidity refers to water vapour in the air

18
Q

What is humidity measured with and in

A

A hydrometer is used to measure relative humidity which is expressed as a percentage

19
Q

What does it mean if the air is saturated

A

When the air can hold no more water vapour is said to be saturated
