Articles of clothing worn by the soldier as part of a religious observance of his or her faith
When are personnel authorized to wear religious articles?
At all times, except when it is a hindrance to the mission/ duty/ safety or is not neat, conservative, and discreet.

When may soldiers wear religious headgear while on uniform?
Anytime as long as it is subdued in color, can be completely covered by standard military headgear and does not interfere with the proper wear of protective clothing and/or standard military headgear.

The appearance of headgear and any protective equipment properly as it is to being worn
What types of hairstyle are not authorized?
Extreme, eccentric, or trendy hairstyles.

Yes, Must be one straight line where it will fall naturally.
How should a female haircut be?
Neatly groomed, with a length and bulk of the hair that is not excessive, it does not present a ragged, unkempt, or extreme appearance.
When are females authorized to wear cosmetics while in uniform?
Always as long as they are applied conservatively, or are in good taste and compliment the uniform.
Where are tattoos or brands not authorized??
Head, face, neck, wrist
What types of tattoos are prohibited anywhere on a soldier’s body?
Extremist, indecent, sexist, or racist
