A

this is minimising the amount of waste generated by the operations systems. so it means buying the minimum inputs needed and converting the materials into outputs wherever possible as well as buy resources that comes with minimum packaging
e.g. reduce amount of employees if there is more labour than demand

taking inputs that have already been processed and putting them back into production again. this means using waste from one process as an input for a different process
e.g. cafes use reusable cups rather than disposable ones for dine-in customers

A

processing waste products itno new generic inputs to avoid using more raw materials, this could mean crushing and melting materials made form metal, plastic.
