Rifampin Uses
Nausea and vomiting, epigastric, distress, heartburn fatigue, vertigo, rash, reddish orange discoloration of the body fluids, such as urine, tears, saliva sweat and sputum

Rifampin Adverse Effects
Generalize reactions is dermatitis and pruritis. Joint pain, anorexia, nausea, and vomiting.
Severe reactions, anaphylactoid reactions, unusually or exaggerated. Allergic reactions optic neuritis and decrease in visual acuity and changes in color. Perception optic neuritis is dosed related.
Ethambutol Adverse Reactions
Adverse reactions generalized reactions, nausea, vomiting, epigastric, distress, fever, skin, eruption’s, hematological changes, jaundice and hypersensitivity
Toxicity, peripheral neuropathy and severe hepatitis
Isoniazid Adverse Reaction
Nausea and vomiting, diarrhea, altered taste, headache, fever, and chills, rash, numbness and tingling, in the cicumoral area (around the mouth) or peripherally or both
Ritonavir adverse effects
Antifungals, clarithromycin, Viagra, opioid analgesics, anticonvulsant, antiparasitic, interleukin, fentanyl, oral contraceptives, rifampin.
Ritonavir Drug Interactions
Clients should avoid intercourse when lesions/symptoms are present to reduce viral transmission.
Acyclovir Nursing Considerations
In the treatment of genital herpes, acyclovir treats the symptomatic lesions; it does not cure the virus.
Acyclovir uses
When client is taking Nystatin, they must clean the involved area and apply the ointment or cream to the skin as directed by the P.C.P. Do not increase or decrease the amount used or the number of times the ointment or cream should be applied unless directed to do so.
