  • Helps produce RBCs
  • Drug of choice as antidote for warfarin OD
  • Used to treat neonatal hemorrhagic disease

Adverse effects: anaphylaxis-like rxn, flushing, chills, fever, dizziness, cramp-like pains
Serious adverse effects:
- respiratory arrest, brain damage, death
