Precautions

A

1) Keep airway equipment ready (airway management)
2) Monitor VS & assess resp. Continuously
3) Possible resp. Depression w/ rapid IVP
4) IM injections = give in large muscle mass (no deltoid)
5) Potentiates effects of ETOH & CNS depressants
