Precautions

A

Monitor VS and EKG closely during administration.
Use supplemental O2.
Tissue necrosis occurs on extravasion.
Incompatible w/ bicarbonate.
Use w/caution in patients taking digitalis meds, may precipitate digitalis toxicity.
