1st line therapy for Atrial Fib, Atrial Flutter with RVR

Contraindication
A
AV block, SSS, any wide QRS complex tachycardia
Shock
Severe CHF

Adverse Reactions
A
Extreme bradycardia, asystole, hypotension, CHF

Adult dosage
A
2.5mg-5.0mg IVP over 2-3 min MR in 15-30 min with 5-10mg IVP max dose of 20mg
