Mechanism of Action
Direct acting alpha and beta agonist. Cardiac arrest-increases cerebral and myocardial perfusion pressure, increases systolic and diastolic BP, increases electrical activity in the myocardium, can stimulate spontaneous contractions in asystole.

Sympathomimetic, adrenergic agonist
Indications and Field Use
Cardiac Arrest-VF/Pulseless VT; Asystole; PEA
Severe bronchospasm
Anaphylaxis
Bradycardia refractory with profound hypotension
Incompatibilities/Drug Interactions
Reacts with alkaline solutions, such as sodium bicarbonate, should not be mixed
Adult Dosages
Pulseless Arrest: 1mg of 1:10,000 solution IV MR q3-5’
Anaphylaxis and asthma: 0.3-0.5mg of 1:1,000 solution IM MR q15-20’
