Hypokalemia, may exacerbate hypovolemia

Adult Dosage
A
If pt is on Lasix: 2 times daily dose, if no effect in 20 min, double initial dose
If pt is not on Lasix: 0.5-1.0mg/kg max of 2mg/kg. Usually 20-40mg slow IV
