Description of VT?

A

VT is a Tachyarrhythmia which originated in the ventricles; in most cases it is synonymous with broad complex tachycardia which has a broad QRS complex.

Recognition of VT ?

A
  • QRS duration greater than 0.12 seconds or >3 small squares.
  • may present with a palpable pulse but also may not.
  • Ventricular rate faster than 100 beats per minute (BPM)
