What is ST Depression ?
A
STD is a result of myocardial ischaemia.
In myocardial ischaemia, STD accounts for just over half of presenting patients (T-wave inversion accounts for the other half).
- STD can be found in reciprocal changes to STEMIs.

How to recognise STD?
A
STD at the J-point greater than 0.5mm in 2 or more continuous leads.

What leads can STD be present in?
A
Varies according to where the ischaemia is occurring: REVIEW ALL LEADS.

Signs and symptoms of STD?
A
- Chest pain
- Nausea
- Shock
- Shortness of breath

Significance of STD?
A
There are typically 3 presentations of STD: Horizontal, downslopping and upscoping.
