Registration what conditions do u gotta do it and how fast
Must register v w WA if ur a WA resident & own & operate a vehicle on public rds.
New residents must register v within 30 days of becoming residents
If ur a resident & buy v in another state intending 2 drive it in WA, u must register it immediately

Current Certificate of Ownership (title) & registration.
ID of all registered owners
Odometer (measures distance traveled by a v) reading on secure odometer form if v <10yrs old

When registering vehicle all registered owners must present unexpired drivers license unless they:
Are WA resident who doesn’t drive on public rds
Have lost, stolen, confiscated, suspended or revoked license
Are a licensee who’s
- out of area/state/country
- incarcerated
- divorcee not awarded vehicle
- dead

Title issued 4 vehicles including mopeds, mobile homes, campers, trailers, certain elec v, & off Rd v.
Title shows registered & legal owners, keep it in safe place thats not in v
Snow mobiles not titled in WA but must be registered annually
How long do you have to report vehicle sale etc?
When v sold/traded 2 private party/dealer, owner must report sale within 5 days
File Report of Sale within 5 days of selling, trading, gifting or disposing of v in any way 2 protect u from civil liabilities if new owner doesn’t transfer title
Where must liscense plates b? Where must liscense renewal month&yr tabs be?
Must b displayed on front & back of v registered in WA. License renewal month & yr tabs required on rear plate
When is a scale weight slip required 4 vehicle registration?
If not shown on previous title or registration then trucks, trailers(except 4 travel), & propane powered vehicles must bring scale weight slip
What do u need 2 do if vehicle title is lost when u wanna register v?
Must apply 4 duplicate from state of issuance.
If title issued by other state & lien holder has it then u must provide copy to get WA registration

Who does exemption conditions for required license presentstion apply to?
(Groups that stuff sometimes doesn’t apply to ig)
- anyone in armed forces
- any nonresident @ least 16 w valid license from home state/country
- anyone operating special highway construction equipment, farm tractors or train
When ownership of vehicle transferred, who’s responsible 4 what?
When ownership transferred, title must b signed & dated by all owners & given 2 purchaser.
Purchaser must transfer owner within 15 days 2 avoid penalty fees. If v sold by dealer then transfer is dealer’s responsibility
