An abbreviated syllogism. One of the premises is omitted, either the major premise or the minor premise. (E.g., All persons have rights because man has rights).
Enthymeme
A categorical syllogism which has an explanation added to one or both of its premises.
Epichereme
A reason added to one premise
Simple epichereme
A reason added to both premises
Compound epichereme
Several syllogisms connected together in a way the conclusion of the preceding becomes the premise of the following one.
Polysyllogism
A shortened polysyllogism where the predicate of the first proposition becomes the subject of the second; the predicate of the second becomes the subject of the third and so forth.
Aristotelian Sorites
This syllogism resembles the first figure of syllogism. The subject of the first becomes the predicate of the second, the subject of the second becomes the predicate of the third, and so on.
