Q

Disease? Pathogenesis? What can this dz cause?

A

Rubber jaw

Pathogenesis: renal disease –> hyperpohsphatemia –> unstable ratio between calcium and phosphorus –> increased PTH –> increased calcium breakdown of bone –> replacement of bone by fibrous connective tissue

Can cause secondary renal hyperparathyroidism
