Q

what is the path of the suprascapular n and artery in relation to the suprascapular ligament?

A

The suprascapular notch is converted to a foramen by the superior transverse scapular ligament. This is the route through which structures pass between the base of the neck and the posterior scapular region. The suprascapular nerve passes through the foramen underneath the ligament while the artery travels over the ligament.

Q

The brachioradialis muscle is a flexor of the forearm. What evidence might suggest that evolutionarily it might’ve functioned as an extensor?

A

it is in the posterolateral compartment of the forearm and is innervated by the radial nerve, a nerve known to primarily innervate extensor muscles of the forearm
